The project uses the original Ted Woolsey English localization as its foundation, while making corrections and restoring elements from the Japanese version and later releases. The script was carefully reviewed against other translations and localization references to improve accuracy without losing the personality and style of Woolsey's classic SNES-era writing. Qhimm Forums

Features include:

Uncensored graphics with several elements restored toward their original Japanese presentation.

Updated and corrected script while retaining the character and humor of the classic Woolsey localization.

Restored character classes, such as Sabin being identified as a Monk.

Expanded spell, Esper, ability, item, and monster names based on terminology used in later releases.

Corrected and improved dialogue, including numerous typos and translation issues.

Bug fixes and gameplay improvements designed to preserve the original experience rather than significantly alter game balance.

Additional optional enhancements and add-ons are available for players who want an even more refined version of the SNES classic. FF6 Hacking

The result is an excellent way to revisit Final Fantasy VI on original-style SNES hardware while enjoying numerous corrections and restorations that bring the classic adventure closer to the vision of its original Japanese release.

About This Cartridge

This is a reproduction/fan-made SNES cartridge containing the Final Fantasy VI: Ted Woolsey Uncensored Edition ROM hack.
